Care Check (Mustaqim Ibrahim, sole proprietor) ("Care Check," "we," "us") operates carecheck.live, a compliance reminder service for licensed childcare programs in the United States.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By creating an account or completing onboarding, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide and data generated when you use the service:

• Account details: name, email address, and password (stored securely through our authentication provider).
• Program profile: business or program name, state, license type, facility identifiers (such as STAR ID), and related operational details you enter during setup.
• Reminder contacts: email address and mobile phone number used to send compliance reminders.
• Compliance data: deadlines, categories, notes, and other compliance items you add to your dashboard.
• Communications: reminder delivery logs and support messages you send us.
• Technical data: basic device and usage information (such as IP address and browser type) collected by our hosting and analytics infrastructure.

How we use information

We use your information to operate Care Check and deliver the service you request:

• Send email and SMS compliance reminders at 30, 7, and 3 days before due dates, plus day-of notices.
• Display and organize your compliance dashboard.
• Respond to support requests and improve the product.
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

SMS and email reminders

Care Check sends transactional reminders only — not marketing or promotional messages.

Email reminders are included with every account. SMS reminders are optional and require a separate unchecked consent checkbox during onboarding or in Settings.

If you opt in to SMS, message frequency varies based on how many compliance items you track and their due dates. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for assistance.

Mobile information and SMS consent

SMS reminders are optional. You can create an account and use Care Check with email reminders only.

When you check the separate SMS consent checkbox during onboarding or in Settings, you consent to receive transactional compliance reminder SMS from Care Check for your program.

We do not share, sell, or otherwise provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent information to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories of data use in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; that information is not shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Your mobile information is used only to deliver the compliance reminders you request, operate your account, and comply with law.

Service providers

We use trusted vendors to run Care Check. They process data on our behalf and only as needed to provide the service. Sharing with service providers for operational delivery does not include selling or providing your mobile phone number or SMS consent to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Twilio — SMS delivery.
• Vercel — application hosting.

Data retention and security

We retain your account and compliance data while your account is active. You may request deletion by contacting us.

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children's information

Care Check is a business tool for childcare operators and staff. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe we have received a child's information in error, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version.
